The Trauma Work Group (partner of Susanne Stein Trauma Picture Book) of the Institute of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy aims to promote the mental health of refugees, children and adolescents, and to adapt them to the new homeland through a series of preventive actions and interventions.
ActivitiesAwareness raising seminars, training, supportive groups to prevent burn-out in professionals working with refugees, application of the TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) model to children and adolescents and relevant research. The team leader, Prof. emeritus Anastasia Kalantzi-Azizi, translated the Trauma Picture Book of Susanne Stein into Greek. The Trauma Work Group collaborates with NGOs, Mental Health Institutions and Universities, both in Greece and abroad, on issues of psychosocial adaptation of children and adolescent refugees.
